Valued Community Members:
Thank you for making our 5th Annual Halloween Carnival and Haunted House Extravaganza such an overwhelming success! Festivities such as these would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our community partners.
This event was a great example of how the joint actions of many with each person contributing a different skill and expressing his or her individual interests and opinion can result in unity and the achievement of a common goal.
Thank you all for your teamwork!

STREET ROBBERIES
Street robberies have been a problem throughout the city. This crime involves someone confronting you outside of your home and demanding or physically removing your personal property from you. Police officers are aware of these crimes in your neighborhood and are looking for the suspects.
The criminals are very interested in stealing cell phones. Walking down the street talking on your cell phone could make you a target for robbery. The robbers are watching for people, including young teenagers, who are involved in their cell phone call and not paying attention to their surroundings. The suspects may use physical violence to intimidate the victims and sometimes have weapons.
The crimes usually happen after school, in the late afternoon or early evening hours, or during the day and evenings on weekends. Make yourself and your children difficult targets by following these helpful tips:
Don’t use a cell phone while walking on the street if possible.
Don’t carry large amounts of cash around.
Hide the phone in your bag or pocket; don’t clip it to your waist.
Watch for and report suspicious activity.
