Man Stabbed to Death, Suspect Arrested NR09604ah
Los Angeles: A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death in South Los Angeles and Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives have arrested the suspect.
The stabbing occurred last night around 2 a.m., at a restaurant parking lot in the 5900 block of Vermont Avenue.
Investigators say 52-year-old Aurelio Ramirez and the victim, Juan Ventura Ola, were involved in a heated argument that escalated to an altercation. Ramirez pulled out an unknown sharp object, stabbed Ola multiple times in the chest, and left the area. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After gaining solid leads, detectives tracked down Ramirez at his home in the 900 block of West 59th Place and arrested him. He was taken to LAPD’s 77th Division Jail and booked for murder. His bail amount was set at $1 million.
