On January 31, Jason Ramos, 16 years of age, and his sister Shulma Ramos, 17 years of age, were riding with two friends and two additional carloads of teenage and young adult friends looking for a party to attend. As the victims approached 3115 West Adams Boulevard, they saw several individuals standing outside in front of the location. They were aware from past experience that parties were often held at this residence. They were confronted by two suspects who robbed one of the victims of his Celtics basketball jersey and fired numerous rounds killing both Jason and Shulma.
On Sunday morning, February 15, 2004, at about 12:25 a.m., a gunman approached a group of people who were standing in front of the Western Club, located at 5710 South Western Avenue. The gunman pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds into the crowd. Gregory John Gabriel, 12 years of age, a 13 year-old girl and a 26 year-old man were shot. Unfortunately, Gregory died from his injuries.
