Los Angeles-: 77th Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the murder of 15 year-old Quinesha Dunford and 13 year-old Demario Moore.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at about 7:00 p.m., Dunford and Moore were standing at the entrance of the alley adjacent to the 1300 block of West 54th Street, when unknown suspects drove by and began firing striking the two.
Dunford died at the scene and Moore was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
UPDATE:
On Thursday, September 11, 2003, Detectives received information from an independent witness that had seen the murder and provided police with a vehicle license plate. Detectives conducted a follow-up to a Los Angeles residence and detained, later arresting a suspect in this case. Further investigation revealed that 2 other suspects, now booked for the murder, participated in the crime.
Due to the efforts of Homicide Detectives and the public, three individuals have been arrested for the murder of Quinensha Dunford and Demario Moore.
Photographs of the victims will be shown and the names of the individuals arrested for this crime will be released at the press conference.
