Why:
The purpose of the task force is to identify and cite minors who are truant from school. There were 540 juvenile arrests during school hours from June 1, 2007 through September 7, 2007, in 77th Area. There has been an increase of juveniles becoming both victims and suspects of crimes.
Additional:
Media personnel will be given access to both the briefing and command post locations. Media will be allowed to accompany officers to locations and film field operations. There will be one officer at each command post location who will be the media contact.
