was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1962. He was raised and
educated in Ventura County.

Captain Chamberlain began his career with the Los Angeles Police
Department in November 1984. His assignments as a police officer
included Foothill Area, Southwest Area, West Bureau CRASH, and
Metropolitan Division Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

He was promoted to Sergeant in 1994. In addition to his patrol
duties as a field supervisor at 77th Street Area, Captain
Chamberlain was also assigned as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the
77th Street Area Special Problems Unit, Hollywood Area PED
Supervisor, Office of Operation Staff Researcher, Hollywood Area
Vice Supervisor and Metropolitan Division Supervisor in both a
Crime Suppression Platoon and in SWAT.

Captain Chamberlain was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004 and was
assigned to Van Nuys Area as a Watch Commander. His lieutenant
experience included assignment to Force Investigation Division, as
a Section OIC and Emergency Services Division, as the OIC of the
Protective Security Task Force.

In July 2007, Captain Chamberlain was promoted to Captain and was
assigned as the Patrol Commanding Officer for Hollenbeck Area
Patrol Division. Captain Chamberlain moved to Rampart Division as
Patrol Commanding Officer in February 2008. Captain Chamberlain
was promoted to Captain III in July 2008 and became the Commanding
Officer of Emergency Operations Division. In December, 2009

Captain Chamberlain is married to Lissa and together they have
three daughters.
