Statement of Chief Bernard C. Parks
regarding the death of Sheriff Pitchess
"Sheriff Pitchess was a great leader not only in the local law enforcement community, but also internationally. He contributed greatly to law enforcement professionalism and to the positive relationship among the counties' public safety agencies. The condolences of the Los Angeles Police Department are offered to the Pitchess family and the entire Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department."
