Teenage Student Arrested for Making School Bomb Threat

Thursday, April 29, 1999


On Wednesday, April 28, 1999, shortly after 11:00 a.m., Los Angeles Police Detectives assigned to the Criminal Conspiracy Section arrested a fifteen-year-old Jordan High School student for making a bomb threat at the school. The school is located at 2265 E. 103rd Street, in Los Angeles. Another Jordan High School student informed the detectives about this threat. Evidence of the threat was obtained and the student was arrested. The student was booked and released to the custody of his parents. He has also been suspended from school. The Criminal Conspiracy Section will continue to handle this investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Unified School District urge all parents and students to report any suspicious activity on or around our schools.

Due to the juvenile's age, no further information will be available in this matter.
