Updated Information on Sex Crimes Suspects Being Sought

Update on Press Release

Man and Woman Sought for Sex Crimes Against a Minor

Los Angeles - On Thursday, March 30, 2000 a crime report was filed against two staff members of the Enlightened Minds Private School, located at 2700 West 54th Street in Los Angeles. The crime report alleged that two members of the school administration had engaged in sexual acts with a 16 year-old female student during off-school hours. The administrators were initially identified as "Ty Yiyara" and his wife "Tisa Yiyara".

During the course of the investigation the suspects were found to be using aliases. Their true names are Joseph Horace Green (male, black, DOB 5/17/65) and Chanell Nicola Warren (female, black, DOB 5/9/74). The suspects have not been located and their present whereabouts are unknown.

On Wednesday, April 12, 2000 the case was presented to the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office which resulted in the filing of multiple-counts Felony Arrest Warrants against both suspects.

All of the charges filed thus far concern the same victim. An investigation into possible other crimes committed against other students at the school is continuing.

77th Street Area Operation Support Division's Detectives Benjamin and Potter are in charge of the investigation.

The above-mentioned suspects are believed to be living and/or traveling in a 1999 Fleetwood/Pace Arrow 37 Foot motor home. The motor home is white with blue graphics, and the words "Pace Arrow" appear on the sides and on the backside. The motor home has an expandable "pop-out" on the driver's side and a rear chrome bumper. The vehicle's license plate number is "4JYT689."
