LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, April 12, 2000

"LAPD Searches for Victims of Crime Spree"

North Hollywood - On Tuesday, April 11, 2000, Los Angeles Police Officers working the Community Enforcement to Combat Auto Theft (C.E.C.A.T.) Task Force, arrested Thomas Little, a 51 year-old male Black, for multiple Identity Theft crimes. The suspect used several victims' information to obtain fraudulent identification and credit cards.

Prior to his arrest, Suspect Little went on a spending spree at several Los Angeles area stores.

The suspect's actions came to the attention of the C.E.C.A.T. Task Force when he attempted to purchase two "Sea Doo" watercrafts and a trailer, from a North Hollywood Honda dealer, with fraudulent identification and a fraudulent application.

Suspect Little was also known to visit merchants at the Beverly Center and Santa Monica Mall. The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the public's assistance, via the media, to advise local merchants that Suspect Little may have conducted fraudulent activities at their stores.

Suspect's description: Male, Black, 6' 5", 290 lbs, approximately 51 years old.

If anyone has any information or questions, please contact Detective K. Belt at the LAPD's "C.E.C.A.T." Task Force at 818-756-8138.
