Victim Returns Fire, Striking One Suspect

"Victim Returns Fire at His Attackers, Striking One Suspect"

Los Angeles - Pacific Area Detectives are investigating an attempt murder that occurred in the Mar Vista Gardens Housing Project on Monday, April 24, 2000, at approximately 3:10 am. Three male hispanic suspects approached the victim, a male, Black, who was seated in his car, parked at the curb in the 4800 block of Marionwood Drive. The suspects began firing at the victim. The victim returned fire and two of the suspects ran away. The victim and a suspect were injured by the exchange of gunfire. The suspect, a 15 year old, died at the scene as a result of his wounds.

Pacific Homicide Area Detectives are conducting this investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to call 310-202-4513.
