"Man Shot to Death at Rear of Market Parking Lot"

Cheviot Hills - On Monday, April 17, 2000 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Norman Fields, a 42 year-old male Black was shot and killed near the rear entrance of the Von's Market parking lot located at 9860 National Boulevard. Victim Fields was shot as he parked and exited his vehicle.

Norman Fields had been looking into the death of his son, 19 year-old Jermain Fields, who was shot to death on April 13, 2000 in South Central Los Angeles. West Los Angeles Detectives are looking into the possibility that the shootings are connected.
