Wilmington: On Saturday, July 28, 2001, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Harbor Community Police Station will host its 6th at the intersection of Hawaiian Avenue and F Street in Wilmington. Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks, Councilperson Janice Hahn, and Harbor Community Police Station Captain Paul M. Kim will attend the event and will be available to speak with community members regarding issues of concern in the area.
Through these community block parties, the hard working, law-abiding residents within the selected neighborhoods can meet their local police officers and realize a sense of empowerment in our mutual efforts to help combat and reduce the fear and incidence of crime.
The event will feature entertainers, police support groups, local business representatives, outreach groups, LAPD Explorers and Reserve Officers, D.A.R.E. Officers and LAPD Recruitment Officers. There will be plenty of food and drinks available.
