Homicide Investigation

 

Los Angeles - On Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the victim, identified as Antwon Lerice Jones, 19 years of age, was leaving the Thriftown Market, located at 2043 South La Cienega Boulevard, when an unknown suspect shot him. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

The motive appears to be gang related. The weapon and suspect or suspects are outstanding.

West Los Angeles Operations Support Division, Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information that may assist in this investigation is urged to call Detective Hays at 310-575-8408.
