Man Shot Dead While Riding His Moped


Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of 18 year-old Dontay Trevon Pree of Los Angeles. On Monday, April 1, 2002, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Mr. Pree was riding his moped near the intersection of Budlong Avenue and 52nd Street when a male Black driving a dark compact vehicle drove up alongside him and shot him with a handgun. Witnesses have been able to provide very little additional information regarding the shooting. Mr. Pree was pronounced dead by responding paramedics.

At this time there is no additional suspect, weapon, or motive information.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding the suspect responsible for the murder of Dontay Trevon Pree.
