"LAPD and Family Members Seek Media's Help in Locating Missing Girl"

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Southeast Juvenile Detectives are looking for a reported missing-runaway 13 year-old girl. Ashley Carson was last seen on Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at a friend’s residence, located in the 1700 block of 84 street, where she had permission to stay for the weekend. Ashley is described as a female, Black, with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, of light to medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a red blouse, blue jeans, and blue shoes. Ashley was known to visit chat/party web sites.

Anyone with information regarding Ashley’s whereabouts is urged to contact Southeast Detectives at 213-485-6902 during regular business hours. During off-hours and weekends, the 24-hour toll free number at Detective Information Desk is 1-877-LAWFULL.
