Los Angeles: In response to the decision by the Los Angeles City Council not to assert jurisdiction in the matter of his reappointment, Chief Parks stated that he was disappointed, but that the decision was not unexpected. Additionally, the Chief stated that the process for transition in the Office of Chief of Police will be orderly and professional.
