Two Persons Missing After Party

Los Angeles: On Saturday, March 22, 2003, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Jessica Najarro, a 17 year-old, and her boyfriend, Edgar Penaloza, a 18 year-old, were last seen leaving a party in the Pacoima area of Los Angeles. When both failed to return home as anticipated, the Los Angeles Police Department was notified and an investigation began immediately. To date, neither individual has been seen or heard from by family or friends.

Adding suspicion to their disappearance, uncharacteristically, Ms. Najarro left behind her infant child and her place of employment without notice.

Jessica Najarro is described as a female Hispanic, brown hair which has possibly been bleached blond, brown eyes, 5' 3," 110 lbs., light complexion. She was last wearing brown pants, black tank top and black high-heel shoes.

Edgar Penaloza is described as a male Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 5' 6," 140 lbs., light complexion. He was last wearing black jeans, brown plaid shirt and white tennis shoes.

Both were last seen in a black 2003 Ford Mustang, convertible, California license plate of 4ZXJ437.

Photographs of the missing persons are available at Media Relations Section.

Anyone observing either individual or the vehicle should contact Devonshire Detective Section at 818-756-8291. During off-hours, contact can be made to the Missing Persons Unit at 213-485-5381 or the Devonshire Watch Commander's Office at 818-756-8285.
