Victim Shot, Runs from Killer, Collapses and Dies

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at approximately 3:30 p.m., 21 year-old Wilbur Banks Jr. was standing on the sidewalk in the 800 block of east 120th Street. An unknown suspect(s) approached Banks and fired multiple shots at him. Banks ran several yards before collapsing in the courtyard of a nearby apartment complex.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported Banks to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

The motive appears to be gang related. The weapons and suspect(s) remain outstanding.
