Arrest Made in Kidnap for Ransom Investigation

Los Angeles: On April 17, 2003 at approximately 7:45 a.m., three male suspects impersonating police officers entered the victim’s residence and kidnapped the victim’s wife and daughter. The Victim’s wife and daughter were held for ransom. The suspects demanded a substantial amount of money for the safe release of victim’s wife and daughter. The victim drove to his place of employment and attempted to obtain the ransom money. The follow-up investigation resulted in the arrest of one suspect.

On April 18, 2003 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the victim’s wife and daughter were located at 13020 San Fernando Road, in Foothill Area. Both victim’s were unharmed.

Arrestee information: Kaven Kamyab, 40 years-old, a resident of Los Angeles.
