Burned Body Discovered in Alley

Los Angeles: On April 19, 2003 at 6:10 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a call of a fire in the alley to the rear of 9808 South Central Avenue. Upon their arrival the Fire Department discovered a human body that had been badly burned.

Southeast Homicide Detectives responded and discovered that the victim was a female of unknown age and decent. Further investigation revealed that the victim also suffered from at least one gunshot injury in addition to the burns.

The victim has yet to be identified. Southeast Homicide Detectives are handling the investigation.
