Los Angeles: Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Media Availability Meeting, hosted by Chief of Police William J. Bratton. This media availability is consistent with Chief Bratton’s mandate to foster an attitude of openness and cooperation between the Department and the public/media.

Among other things, Chief Bratton will discuss the City’s current crime trends. Additionally, he will brief all in attendance regarding the upcoming movements [reassignments] of staff and command officers. Chief Bratton will provide an update on the conditions of the two Los Angeles Police Department officers who, on April 12, 2003, were struck and seriously injured by a hit and run driver. There will also be time allotted for questions and answers.
