LAPD Makes Major Moves Among Staff and Command Officers

Los Angeles: In an on-going effort to reorganize the Los Angeles Police Department, Police Chief William Bratton announced, today, that 37 members of the Department’s staff and Command ranks are going to be reassigned to different commands. The movements are part of Chief Bratton’s plan to have his new leadership team in place before the traditional peak crime period (summer months). Twelve of the assignments are promotions or upgrades and require approval from Los Angeles Mayor Jim Hahn, Los Angeles City Council Members or both.
