Los Angeles: On April 11, 2004, at about 8:00 p.m., patrol officers from Northeast Division responded to a radio call of shots fired in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Silver Lake Boulevard in Los Angeles.

When the officers arrived they found a male Hispanic in his early 20’s lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The initial investigation revealed that the victim was walking when two male suspects approached him. The suspects then fired striking the victim. The suspects left the scene on foot.

The suspects have not been identified and are still at large. The motive for this crime is possibly gang motivated and narcotics related.
