Seizure of Pirated DVD’s

Los Angeles: On April 29, 2004, at about 7:00.a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Organized Crime and Vice Division in conjunction with the Motion Picture Association of America served simultaneous search warrants at three Los Angeles locations. This investigation began with an anonymous tip about pirated movies being sold on a street corner in West Valley Area.

Over 5,000 DVD’s, approximately $5,000 and duplication equipment were recovered from the locations. A total of four Felony arrests were made for penal code section 653 w- Failure to Identify Origin.
