Drive-by Shooting Leaves One Dead
Los Angeles: On April 25, 2004 at about 9:00 p.m., Shaun Murray,
20 years old and a resident of Los Angeles, was walking home from the area
of 108 Street and Figueroa Street. At least two suspects in a car drove by
on Figueroa Street and one of them began shooting at the victim. Mr. Murray
was struck in the upper body by a bullet. A second victim who was passing by
was also struck by the gunfire.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported both victims to a
local hospital. Mr. Murray was treated for his injuries and remained in
critical condition until his death on April 28, 2004. The second victim was
treated and released.
The suspect’s vehicle was described as being a possible 4-door, dark
color mid size. The motive for this crime is currently unknown.
