Home Invasion Robbery at Foster Care Home

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Detectives are looking for two gunmen who broke into the Reed’s Foster Care Home in Southeast Los Angeles early this morning.

On Wednesday, April 18, 2006, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the residents of the home, located in the 800 block of West 108 Street, were awaken by two gunmen inside the home. The men pointed their guns at the adults and ordered them to the floor, demanding money, jewelry, and access to the house safe. The two men then ransacked the adults’ bedroom, while four young children slept in nearby bedrooms. The two men tied the adults’ hands and feet with a telephone cord. They then stole the victims’ car, a gray 2000 Honda Odyssey minivan, license 4JFV883. Also taken was a wallet and an unknown amount of money.

Neither the adults nor the children were injured.

The suspects are described only as two male Blacks in their early 30s.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Southeast Detectives at 213-972-7813, during normal business hours. On weekends and during off-hours, telephone the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAWFULL (529-3855).
