Brothers Shot, One Remains in Critical Condition, the Other Deceased
Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of Tyrone Howell, a male Black, 23 years old.
On Friday, April 21, 2006, at around 12:10 a.m., victim Howell and his 21-year-old brother parked their vehicle in the 1300 block of West 60th Street in Los Angeles. Without provocation or warning, three male Hispanic suspects approached and shot into their vehicle then left the area. The victims then drove home and were later transported to a local hospital.
Victim Howell received multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital. His brother also sustained multiple gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition. The motive for this incident appears to be gang related.
