Public Invited to Pay Final Respects to the 49th Los Angeles Chief of Police Daryl F. Gates

What:
Closed casket display for visitation of former Chief of Police Daryl F. Gates.    

When:
April 26, 2010
12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
(NOTE: Viewing end-time subject to change based on family needs/wishes)

Where:
Los Angeles Police Department
Police Administration Building-Ronald F. Deaton Civic Auditorium
100 W. First Street
Los Angeles 90012

Why:
To offer LAPD personnel and the public an opportunity to pay last respects to former Chief of Police Daryl F. Gates.    

Parking:
Media parking will be on Main Street between First and Temple Streets

Details:
Exterior location shots will be available from behind the auditorium on cement steps/risers adjacent to the memorial area or from the northwest corner of Main and First Streets. Interior B-roll footage may be captured from a second tier area located within the auditorium seating ascending from the stage.
