Who: Los Angeles Councilmember Jose Huizar, Council District 14 LAPD Deputy Chief Robert Arcos, Central Bureau Commanding Officer LAPD Captain Edward Pape, Hollenbeck Patrol Commanding Officer LAPD Lieutenant Manuel Santoyo, Hollenbeck Detective Commanding Officer LAPD Detective David Alvarez, Hollenbeck Area Homicide LAPD Detective Jose Ramirez, Hollenbeck Area Homicide Family members of Mitchell Maya

Why: On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at around 8:21 p.m., the victim, Mitchell Maya, was leaving his residence in the 700 block of N. Breed Street, in the City of Los Angeles. As Maya walked towards his vehicle the suspect(s) fired several rounds striking Maya multiple times. Maya died as a result of his injuries.
