Murder Suspect Captured on Video NR17121lp

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Rampart Division Homicide detectives are
seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a murder suspect
captured on video.

On April 16, 2017, around 10:50 p.m., officers responded to the 700
block of South Westlake Avenue for an assault with a deadly weapon
call. When the officers arrived they found a victim suffering from
multiple stab wounds. The investigation revealed that the victim
and the suspect were inside an apartment building when they began
arguing. The suspect suddenly approached the victim with a knife
and stabbed the victim multiple times.

The suspect was
last seen running out of the apartment building holding a knife in
an unknown direction.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and
transported the victim to a local area hospital where the victim
succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described as a male, Hispanic, 25-35 years old,
approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, short brown hair and heavy
build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and
black shoes.
