Hollenbeck Murder Suspect Press Release

MURDER SUSPECT WANTED
WHAT:

Detectives from Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles Sheriff Departments will be conducting a press conference to release the identity, and ask for the public's aid, in locating a dangerous suspect wanted in connection with three homicides.

WHEN:

Wednesday, August 12, 1998. At 10 AM.

WHERE:

Hollenbeck Police Station
2111 East First Street, Los Angeles.

WHY:

Jose Luis Saenz has been identified as the prime suspect in a double homicide, which occurred on July 25, 1998. In that incident suspect Saenz and a juvenile accomplice, who is in custody, ambushed and executed two unarmed victims. The motive is believed to be gang related.

On August 5, 1998, suspect Saenz abducted his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint from the Aliso Village area. The victim was taken to an East Los Angeles location and shot to death. It is believed the motive may have been to silence her as a potential witness. Suspect Saenz is considered armed and extremely dangerous. He has vowed to kill any police officer who attempts to arrest him, and has proven he will kill whoever he deems a potential threat against him.

There will be photographs of the suspect available.

(We are attempting to get victim's family to be at the press conference)
