Hollywood Home Invasion Robbery

On August 5, 1999, at approximately 1700 hours (5:00 PM), patrol officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Area, responded to a radio call of the Los Angeles Fire Department requesting help, in the Mount Olympus area of Hollywood. Upon arrival, the officers discovered that there were two victims of a home invasion robbery at the scene.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene, from an apparent gunshot wound.
Witnesses described the suspects as three male Hispanics, 20-26 years of age.
The victim was identified as George Jong Kim, a Korean American, who was 62 years of age.
The investigation is being conducted by the Hollywood Community Police Station, Homicide Section.
