Female Found Dead by a Passerby

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Monday, August 23, 1999
On August 20, 1999, at approximately 6:30 am, Northeast Area patrol officers responded to a radio call, "Meet the Fire Department, 3400 block of North Figueroa Street." Upon the officers arrival, they discovered the victim laying midway on the staircase of residence. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, and paramedics pronounced the victim dead.

The victim, (name withheld pending notification of next of kin) a female White, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, was discovered by a passerby, who then notified authorities.

The motive or the cause of death is unknown at this time.

Northeast Area Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation.
