Sex Assault Susp in Pacific

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, August 11, 1999

On August 8, 1999, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a robbery and sexual assault occurred at 8740 S. Sepulveda Blvd., in the City of Los Angeles.

The suspect accosted the victim as she was opening the business. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, demanded money and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a male, African American, 5'9" - 5'10", 160-170 lbs., black hair, brown eyes, 30-35 years of age, with a scruffy mustache and beard, wearing a black baseball cap. The suspect has a medium to dark complexion. The suspect possibly has a fresh laceration on his head.

The Pacific Detectives - Sex Crimes Unit, Detectives R. Guzman and J. Thomas are investigating this crime, at 310-202-4506. Off-hours contact can be made with the Pacific Area Watch Commander at 310-202-4502.
