"Foothill Investigates Shooting – One dead, Five Injured"
 
Foothill: On Saturday, August 4, 2001, at 10:40 P.M., Foothill patrol officers were responding to a "Loud Party Disturbance" radio call at the12500 block of Bradley Avenue, when several additional calls came out that a gang shooting had just occurred at the same location. When officers arrived they learned that six victims of gunshot wounds had been transported by friends to local hospitals. One victim, identified as 20 year-old Ramiro Tamez, a resident of North Hollywood, had been transported to Holy Cross Hospital, where he died from gunshot wounds.
The suspect or suspects and the murder weapons are still outstanding. The motive appears to be gang related.
Homicide Detectives T. Melendez and E. Jones, Under the direction of Captain Kris Pitcher, Commanding Officer, Foothill Operations Support Division, are conducting the investigation.
