Rampart Detectives Investigate Homicide

"Rampart Detectives Investigate Homicide"

 

Rampart: On Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at approximately 8:00 P.M., Rampart Patrol Officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon investigation, shots fired at the 500 block of North Coronado Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim down on the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. Los Angeles Fire department Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

The investigation determined that witnesses heard several gunshots and observed the victim on the ground. A suspect was seen running from the area immediately after the shooting. The suspect was described as a male wearing dark clothing. The weapon used was an unknown caliber handgun.

The motive for the shooting unknown. The suspect and weapon are outstanding.

The victim has been identified as Jose Armando Pulido, a male Hispanic, 43 years of age.
