Pedestrian Killed at Intersection

Los Angeles: On Monday, August 12, 2002, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, in the city of North Hollywood. A white 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Pierre Kacsinta, a 20 year-old of Sun Valley, was driving westbound on Burbank Boulevard when it collided with a pedestrian crossing the street.

The injured pedestrian, 33 year-old Hovek Masihi of Glendale, was transported to Province Holy Cross Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Mr Kacsinta was interviewed and released at the scene. He was not injured.

Valley Traffic Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident should call Officer Stephen Chen at 818-756-8391.
