Homicide Investigation

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Hollenbeck uniformed officers responded to 1137 North Evergreen Avenue, on a shooting death investigation. Upon arrival the officers observed the body of the victim, later identified as Silvano Lopez, 52 years of age, lying on the ground in front of the residence.

Los Angeles City Fire paramedics responded to the crime scene and provided the victim with emergency medical treatment. Subsequently the victim succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

The investigation revealed that the victim parked and secured his vehicle on Evergreen Avenue at Pomeroy Avenue when an unknown suspect or suspects shot the victim multiple times. The suspect or suspects then fled location in an unknown direction.

The motive for this crime is under investigation. No arrests have been made.
