Officers Honored For Stopping Drunk Drivers

Officers Honored For Their Commitment To Remove Drunk Drivers From Our Streets

When:
Wednesday, August 21, 2002, At 5:45 p.m.

Where:
Van Nuys Community Police Station, 6240 Sylmar Avenue, Van Nuys

Los Angeles: On August 21, 2002, Valley Traffic Division will be honoring several officers for maintaining consistently high levels of productivity in anti-drunk driving enforcement. One of the officers has in fact surpassed his 1,000th career DUI arrest.

The honorees will be recognized during roll call at 5:45 p.m. in the Van Nuys Division roll call room.

All of the officers are well on their way to achieving the goals that have earned them past awards presented by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Expected attendees include Chief of Police Martin Pomeroy, Deputy Chief Ronald Bergmann, Various City Council members and representatives of MADD.

A short reception with refreshments will follow the event. The media is invited to cover this event.
