Woman Found Shot To Death

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Wilshire Operations Support Division Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 32 year-old female Hispanic, name withheld pending notification of family, which occurred on August 23, 2002, at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Wilshire Area officers responded to the scene of a shooting call at 969 South Kingsley Drive.

Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, who had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, lying in the street. Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

According to witness statements, two male Hispanic suspects were observed running from the scene, carrying an unknown color duffle/athletic type bag southbound on Kingsley Drive. Upon reaching Olympic Boulevard, the suspects entered a white vehicle, unknown make, type or year, and fled westbound on Olympic Boulevard.
