Los Angeles: As children of all ages return to
school, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Unified School
District once again collaborate on a School Safety Plan. As always, our
priority is "Keeping Kids Safe," including the importance of
ensuring the safety of children as they attend schools throughout the Los
Angels Unified School District.
Also of great concern is the prevention of "Child
Abductions," and ensuring children know what to do if
confronted by a stranger. Officer Jackie Landister will be on hand to
conduct a series of skits on the actions that children may take to prevent
being abducted by strangers. Additional featured topics will include the C.A.R.E.
Alert, A.M.B.E.R. Alert, Safe House Program, Walking to School and Traffic
Safety, and Bullying Awareness.
