Los Angeles: On Sunday, August 17, 2003 at about 3:50 a.m., Foothill Area Officers responded to an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon Shots Fired" radio call in the 10600 block of El Dorado Avenue. When the officers arrived, they observed the body of 28 year-old Victor Santiago of Pacoima, lying in the street. The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a passing motorist observed the victim lying in the street and called police.

The motive for the shooting and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to Foothill Homicide Detectives 818-756-8861. On weekends and during off hours contact the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk, 1-877-LAWFULL, 1-877-529-3855.
