"Homicide Detectives Investigate Murder Stemming From Robbery"

Los Angeles: Wilshire Area Detectives are investigating the death of 33 year-old Jose Francisco Corado of Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 8:00 p.m., Corado and a friend were repairing his vehicle in the alley behind a business located in the 1800 block of La Cienega Boulevard. A suspect, described as a 25-27 year-old, male Black, approached on foot and pointed a handgun at Corado. The suspect demanded money and then shot Corado before he could produce any.

Los Angeles City Fire Department responded and pronounced Corado dead at the scene.

The motive for this murder is robbery. The suspect’s identity is unknown and this is an on-going investigation.
