Young Woman Shot and Killed While Riding in a Vehicle

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 9:40 p.m., 20 year-old Tanisha Brown was shot while seated in the backseat of a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of 58th Street and Vermont Avenue.

Los Angeles City Fire Department responded and pronounced Brown dead at the scene.

The motive is unknown and the suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
