Brutal Sexual Assault Suspect Sought By Detectives

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at about 12:30 a.m., a woman in her 50’s was in her residence in the area of Boise Avenue and Venice Boulevard in Mar Vista. A male Black suspect entered the woman’s residence through the open living room window. When the woman awoke and confronted the suspect, the suspect was completely nude and attacked the woman with brutal physical force. The suspect then dragged the woman by the hair into a bedroom and attempted to sexually assault the woman. The woman resisted and the suspect struck her in the face repeatedly. As a result of the woman’s resistance, the suspect, still nude, fled the location in an unknown direction.

The woman was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The suspect was described as a male Black, 5’ 11", 180/200 lbs., 29/32 years of age with short hair. The suspect was further described as having a thin build and smelling of alcohol and perspiration.

Anyone with information is requested to call Pacific Area Detective Division at 310-202-4579. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk, 1-877-LAWFULL, 1-877-529-3855.

This press release was prepared by Public Information Officer Jason Lee, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
