Los Angeles: On May 29, 2004, at about 11:35 p.m., Rampart Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 8th Street and Union Avenue. Upon arrival the officers found 25 year-old Victor Fernandez suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. The investigation revealed that prior to shooting the victim, the suspect entered the J & Y Liquor Store, located on the northeast corner of 8th Street and Union Avenue, and pointed a handgun at approximately 10 customers.
