70 Year-Old Man Found Dead

Los Angeles: Pacific Detectives are investigating the death of 70 year-old Richard Mukai, of Hawaiian descent, who was found dead in his living room at 12451 Pacific Avenue on August 30, 2004, at 5:30 p.m. It appears that Mr. Mukai had been dead for several days.

Crime scene investigation revealed that a gunshot may have been fired into the victim’s open window, striking him while he was seated on his couch. The motive is unknown.

Detectives are searching for witnesses who may have heard or seen suspicious activity in this area within the past few days.
