Los AngelesThe Los Angeles Police Department needs the public's help in locating a teenage girl who has been missing since Tuesday, August 9, 2005.

Daisy Joana Gallardo, a 14-year-old Hispanic girl, was last seen at lunchtime on Tuesday, at her school, Francis Polytechnic High School on Roscoe Boulevard in Panorama City.  When the school day ended at 3:05 p.m., Daisy was not at her regular location to be picked up and hasn't been seen since.

Daisy is described as about 5'0" tall, weighing about 110 pounds, with medium length brown hair and brown eyes.

A photo of the missing girl can be e-mailed from Media Relations Section upon request.

Anyone with information about Daisy's whereabouts is urged to call Foothill Detectives Kerry Edwards or Pat Barron.  On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
