$25,000 Reward Offered in Felony Hit and Run That Leaves Man in a Coma

What:
Announcing a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a hit and run driver.

City Councilmember Eric Garcetti

Why:
On June 9, 2005, 37-year-old Eric Van Rhein was struck and critically injured by a car while he was crossing Rowena Avenue at Herkimer Avenue.  More than two months later he remains in a coma.  Los Angeles City Councilmember Eric Garcetti has authorized a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver responsible for this crime.  The suspect vehicle was a Silver 2002-2004 Toyota Corolla.
